Seven Layer Salad Recipe

The Wurst Haus Grand Champion Bacon is the star in this Seven Layer Salad Recipe! Also features cheese, cauliflower, peas and red onion.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1  pound Hermann Wurst Haus Hickory-Smoked Bacon
  • 1 large head iceberg lettuce chopped
  • 1 red onion chopped
  • 1 (10 ) ounces package frozen green peas thawed
  • 10 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cauliflower chopped
  • 1 ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. For perfectly crisp Hermann Wurst Haus bacon, bake in the oven. Arrange bacon in a single layer on a baking sheet. Place in cold oven and then turn oven to 400°F and bake for 17-20 minutes. Remove from the oven when the bacon is golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
  2. In a large flat bowl, place the chopped lettuce and top with a layer of onion, peas,  shredded cheese, cauliflower and bacon.
  3. Prepare the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, sugar and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle over salad and refrigerate overnight.
