Bacon Chocolate Bundt Cake


This is two of our favorite things – Bacon AND Chocolate!


Chocolate Cake:

  • 1 box devil's food cake mix
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 1 cup 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk or milk
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Chocolate Glaze:

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2-4 Tbsp. milk
  • 6-8 strips Hermann Wurst Haus Hickory Smoked Bacon, cooked and crumbled cooked and crumbled


  • Directions
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease your Bundt pan with cooking spray.
  • Sift cake mix into a small bowl to remove any lumps. Add instant pudding mix and mix well.
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs, oil, sour cream, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in cake mix and instant pudding and mix until smooth. Add chocolate chips and stir.
  • Pour into prepared Bundt pan and spread out evenly. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
  • For Glaze: Combine powdered sugar, butter and 2 Tbsp. milk. Add more milk if needed to reach a pourable consistency. Pour glaze over cooled cake and sprinkle bacon on top. Use lots of bacon……
