Chocolate Bacon Bundt Cake
Chocolate Bacon Bundt Cake combines two of our favorite things – Hermann Wurst Haus Bacon AND Chocolate!
INGREDIENTS
Chocolate Cake:
- 1 box devil’s food cake mix
- 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 4Â eggs
- 2/3 cup oil
- 1 cup 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup buttermilk or milk
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Chocolate Glaze:
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 2-4 Tbsp. milk
- 6-8 strips Hermann Wurst Haus Hickory Smoked Bacon, cooked and crumbled cooked and crumbled
INSTRUCTIONS
- Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease your Bundt pan with cooking spray.
- Sift cake mix into a small bowl to remove any lumps. Add instant pudding mix and mix well.
- In a large bowl, combine eggs, oil, sour cream, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in cake mix and instant pudding and mix until smooth. Add chocolate chips and stir.
- Pour into prepared Bundt pan and spread out evenly. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
- For Glaze: Combine powdered sugar, butter and 2 Tbsp. milk. Add more milk if needed to reach a pourable consistency. Pour glaze over cooled cake and sprinkle bacon on top. Use lots of bacon……
