January 16 - Hermann Wedding Trail

During the Wedding Trail, engaged couples and their families have an opportunity to tour wedding and reception venues at their own pace. Wurst Haus will offer a free glass of local Sparkling Wine to engaged couples and free samples of Wurst Haus products.  See our portfolio of photos from previous events and our wedding and rehearsal dinner meal display.

January 16 -- International Hot & Spicy Food Day

In recognition of International Hot & Spicy Food Day, we will serve these hot & spicy favorites today in our deli; Bloody Mary Bratwurst on a pretzel bun with chips & a pickle, or our Chili Cheese Bratwurst on a pretzel bun with chips & a pickle, all for $7.99.  Upgrade with a side of our German Potato Salad made with our Grand Champion Bacon.  Wurst Haus beer is extra but makes the meal complete!

Mike will show you the ropes of summer sausage making and cover topics such as, cold smoked vs. hot smoked, natural fermentation vs. artificial fermentation, natural casings vs. collagen casings and much more. Many of you only make sausage once or twice a year and if it did not turn out right, it's months before you get to try it again and then you can only change one thing at a time or you don't know what you changed that you liked. Debbie Reinhardt, author of the just released book,"Delectable Destinations: A Chocolate Lover's Guide to Missouri", will be at the Wurst Haus signing her book. Ricky's Chocolate Box, Hermannhof Winey and Stone Hill Winery are mentioned in the book!

March 3 -- National Cold Cuts Day

In honor of this national food holiday, Hermann Wurst Haus is offering 1/2 price on cold cuts purchased by the pound.

March 4 -- MO Association of Meat Processors Convention

Wurstmeister Mike will be entering his gourmet sausages in the annual competition for fellow Missouri meat processors!

March 17 -- St. Pat's Day Special

We are featuring our Rueben Brat, made with pork, seasonings, spices, caraway, Kraut, Thousand Island dressing, and Swiss cheese all infused into the brat served on a delicious pretzel bun.

March 17 -- Thirsty Thursday Sausage Sampling

Wurstmeister Mike will be sampling his award winning brats and sausage at Thirsty Thursday at IB Nuts & Fruit Too and Country Living Antiques & More in Washington, MO from 5-8 pm!

March 19 & 20 -- Wurstfest

Annual Wurstfest, our national holiday for our "wursts". Samples all day long till we run out, then we're gonna stuff more while you help hold it (Ha Ha, the casing). Enjoy the "Wurst" meal you ever had at the Hermann Wurst Haus. We'll be having Currywurst, Garlic Butter Chicken Breast, Mom's German Potato Salad with Wurstmeister Mike's Grand Champion bacon, house red cabbage, and Kraut for $12.99. Wurst samples all day long, no long lines and awesome world famous flavors/varieties plus White Mule Winery from Owensville will be pouring samples of their wines and Hermann Wurst Haus beers on Sat. from 11 am - 4 pm. All the "wurst girls" will all be decked out in traditional German attire. In store specials such as buy 4 packages of brats, the 5th package is on us. Oh, and one more thing...beer! The relay race ends in Hermann at the Amphitheater.  The Wurst Haus will be selling & serving Wursts at this event with other local vendors to the long distance athletic runners and their supporters. Nothing beats finishing a long distance run than with a Wurst Haus brat and a beer!  Hermann Wurst Haus will extend hours until 8pm.

June 4 &5-- Garden Tour & Plant Sale Special

August -- National Peach Month

In honor of National Peach Month, we will be sampling our Jalapeno & Peach Bratwurst all month at the Wurst Sampling bar!   Daily bratwurst special - buy 4 packages and get the 5th package free!

August 1 -- National IPA Day

Come in today for free samples of our IPA beers such as Crown Valley Brewing Gunslinger, a double IPA, robust, malty beer with an intense hop profile from five different hops.  Or Wooden Nickel Pale Ale, brewed with a medium gold color using three hop varieties to enhance the citrus and floral aromas.  Or our Wurst Haus Steamboat Smoked Ale, which has a black and smoked malt character that carries out the smoky flavor.  This would pair perfectly with any Wurst Haus smoked meat.  5.6% alcohol by volume, serve at cellar temperature between 54-57 degrees.

Many of you only make sausage once or twice a year and if it did not turn out right, it's months before you get to try it again and then you can only change one thing at a time or you don't know what you changed that you liked. We have had many people take all three of our 101 classes during the last three years and they have commented that they want to learn more.  We have created the Advanced Wurst 201 Class. After you have taken either Summer Sausage Making 101 or Wurst Making 101 Classes, you are eligible for our Advanced Wurst 201 classes. These classes will be smaller (ONLY 15 people) and will focus on specific types of Wurst. They are Salsiccia, Best of Show Bratwurst, and Knackwurst. You will work in teams of three, consisting of five people per team. When you register you must choose one of the three types of sausages you wish to make. When a type of sausage has five people registered, it is full. Each team will weigh out the meat and seasonings, grind, mix, stuff, smoke, cook, and enjoy the finished Wurst as part of their Wurst Haus meal.  All participants will have all three varieties on their plate to enjoy. The class is by reservation only, will begin at 10 am and 3 pm and will last approximately 3-4 hours. Tickets are $99 per person and include a wurst lunch, a wurst, wine and beer tasting, 2 free drink tickets, approximately 4 pounds of sausage (from class), and a Wurst Haus goody bag. April 1 –- Advanced Wurst 201 Class, 10 am & 3 pm

We have had many people take all three of our 101 classes during the last three years and they have commented that they want to learn more.  We have created the Advanced Wurst 201 Class. After you have taken either Summer Sausage Making 101 or Wurst Making 101 Classes, you are eligible for our Advanced Wurst 201 classes. These classes will be smaller (ONLY 15 people) and will focus on specific types of Wurst. They are Salsiccia, Best of Show Bratwurst, and Knackwurst. You will work in teams of three, consisting of five people per team. When you register you must choose one of the three types of sausages you wish to make. When a type of sausage has five people registered, it is full. Each team will weigh out the meat and seasonings, grind, mix, stuff, smoke, cook, and enjoy the finished Wurst as part of their Wurst Haus meal.  All participants will have all three varieties on their plate to enjoy. The class is by reservation only, will begin at 10 am and 3 pm and will last approximately 3-4 hours. Tickets are $99 per person and include a wurst lunch, a wurst, wine and beer tasting, 2 free drink tickets, approximately 4 pounds of sausage (from class), and a Wurst Haus goody bag. August 12 –- Makin’ Bacon 101 Class, 10 am & 2 pm

Mike will show you the ropes of making bacon and cover topics such as dry-cured vs. wet cured, different flavors of bacon such as jalapeno, apple-wood smoked, Bourbon pepper, Mexican-style plus more.
