Minimums have been reduced from 15 pounds of deer per selection to 5 pounds of deer meat.
In the past few years, our loyal customers have seen our minimums on the processing of deer smoked products rise. We did this to try to get ahead and push more products out the door, and at the same time forcing our loyal deer customers to make tough decisions on which one or two selections they had to choose from. We found out that many customers wanted several selections because they love our products but their harvested deer did not yield enough boneless meat after steaks, roasts, and chops, were cut.
So you talked and we listened, now 5 pound minimum of your harvested deer plus 5 pounds of our harvested pork for 10 pound total minimums per selection. Of course, you can get more than 5 pound deer minimum because you can’t live without it and you might want to give some away to family, friends, neighbors, in-laws, or out-laws. Also, take note of our cooked Summer Sausage was the National Grand Champion Summer Sausage this year at the American Association of Meat Processors Competition. There is only one National Grand Champion Summer Sausage and we made it! It was also Grand Champion at the Missouri State Fair and Grand Champion at the Missouri Association of Meat Processors in March of this year.
I know that sounds like a lot of success in a short amount of time but that took 49 years to accomplish as a 3 peat in one year. We are overachievers, for sure!
